painting my home gym?

hi im making a home boxing gym in my basement i have black foam flooring and right now i have white walls which are plain the theme colors of the gym i want are black and red how sohuld i paint the walls and ceiling?

    If the walls are cement wall, use a paint specifically for cement. If they are drywalled, use the paint accordingly

    Paint diagonal stipes in black & red on the white wall. Leave the ceiling white.

    If it were me, since you already have a black floor, I’d go with a couple walls painted red (go with a somewhat darker red, not bright cherry red), and then choose a third color that complements both to go on the other two walls.

    Or I’d put up floor-to-ceiling mirrors along at least one wall, then do two walls in red and one in the third color.

    As for the ceiling–are you wanting something inexpensive or something a little nicer? You could easily paint the ceiling in the third color (less expensive), or you could put up some faux tin ceiling tiles that are more expensive than paint, but much less expensive than real tin tiles. And they would lend a classy look to an otherwise stark room. You can get the faux ceiling tiles at any of the big box home improvement stores.
